OFFICIAL BIO

Connie Bennett is an empowering, enthusiastic, experienced journalist and author of the bestselling books Sugar Shock!  (Berkley Books) and Beyond Sugar Shock (Hay House). A former carb and sugar addict, Connie is now a passionate clean-foods advocate, healthy-living aficionado, thought leader, DreamBuilder® Coach, certified health coach, life coach, practitioner of EFT (tapping), motivational speaker, and champion of proven, powerful science-based tools to transform setbacks into breakthroughs.

The idea for her latest book, I Blew My Diet! Now What?, came to Connie when she repeatedly blew her diet and packed on twenty-one pounds after a heartbreaking year helplessly watching her once-vital mother lose the battle to cancer. While slimming down, maintaining the weight loss, healing her heart, unplugging, and claiming a Bounce Back Boldly mindset, Connie sought to discover why people eat badly. This eye-opening, easy-to-read, uplifting book is the result of her seven-year investigation to get answers to questions that aggravate, exasperate, and infuriate dieters.

Connie has been featured by hundreds of media outlets, including "CBS News Sunday Morning," "Oprah & Friends Radio," TIME, Woman’s World, Women’s Weekly, Women’s Health, Forbes Health, Chicago TribuneSHAPE, CNN iReport, Daily Mail, and The Sunday Times. She also has written articles and op-ed pieces for numerous publications and websites, including HealYourLIfe.com, SheKnow.com and HuffingtonPost.com

A lifelong learner, Connie trained with the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), iPEC Coaching (formerly the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching), and Northwestern University’s masters in journalism program. She also studied with EFT Universe, the Brave Thinking Institute, Tony Robbins, Marci Shimoff (her Happy for No Reason training), Jack Canfield, Deepak Chopra, Jen Sincero, and Mel Robbins.

Connie loves to dance to music, take daily bicycle rides or long walks by the ocean, do Pilates, read or listen to audiobooks, play tennis or pickleball, study transformation, and pen provocative essays. She lives in San Diego, where she strives to be better and better every day in every way.
